Meranti can be dark red, light red, light pink, yellow or white. Wood has good durability, is well processed and gives a smooth high-quality surface. Perfectly accepts dyes and is polished. It has a beautiful rich textured pattern. It has a velvety surface with a pronounced sheen.
It does not contain tannin (due to which it does not change color), it has high heat-insulating properties.
Meranti is used for the production of railway car frames, equipment and decoration of commercial, office and other similar premises,
furniture and construction production, lining of small and large ships, production of veneer, block parquet.
